    • Graduated in Physics from St. Joseph's College (affiliated under University of Madras)
    • Aerospace Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology
    • narrowly missed Fighter Pilot chance (IAF)
    • Graduated in 1960
  • Scientist Kalam

    • Became member of DRDS and Joined as a Scientist DRDO
    • 1969 Joined ISRO where he worked as a Project director for many Projects
    • Played major part in Missile development like Agni, Prithvi.
    • Between 1992-99 served as Chief Scientific advisor for the Prime Minister and Played a Crucial role in Nuclear tests (Pokhran)
  • President Kalam

    • Became 11th President of India, 3rd President who is a Bharat Ratna Awardee.
    • First Scientist and Bachelor President
    • Affectionately known as "The People's President"
    • In 2007 and 2012 He was proposed for his candidature as President but decided not to do so.
  • Teacher Kalam

    • Became visiting professor in many Universities in India
    • An Honorary fellow of IISC Bangalore and Chancellor of IIST.
    • 27th July 2015 Collapsed while giving lecture in IIM shillong and at 7:45PM IST he was confirmed dead due to cardiac arrest.
    • Last words to Srijan Pal Singh, "Funny Guy! Are you doing well?"
